Because cheerleading is one of the most competitive girls sports many cheer squads go to incredible lengths to remain on the top of their game. They will spend countless hours training to become the best they can be as individuals. They will also spend a near ridiculous amount of time together as a team working on different routines and moves. The end product can be a startlingly well choreographed combination of jumps, tosses, and acrobatics.
A big part of being a cheerleader is fundraising for the cheer squad. Nearly every cheerleader has, at one point or another, had to participate in a fundraiser. If you are a cheerleader of a cheer coach or a cheer squad sponsor and you are looking for some cheerleading fundraising ideas you should follow these tips to have the best fundraiser possible.
Choose a fun fundraiser. I know it sounds cliche but choosing a fundraiser that your cheer leaders will have fun with a great way to get the ball rolling towards having a successful fundraiser.
Poll your customers first. It is a great idea to ask your cheerleaders and your potential customers what kinds of products they would like to buy from a fundraiser. If something you think is terrific doesn’t go over very well you should take suggestions. This is one of the best ways to predict the success of your fundraiser.
Motivate your cheer leaders. I realize that motivated cheerleader is kind of redundant because most cheerleaders are incredibly motivated. However, you should never underestimate the success that truly motivating your squad can bring. The best way to motivate the cheerleaders is to raise money for something they care about. For example, use the proceeds from your fundraiser for new uniforms or to pay for a trip to a competition.
